Why MTACS?
MTACS comes from my initials, Maria Therese Anna Corroon Sloyan, although I usually go by Maria Corroon. It also stands for Make Things And Continue Stitching — something that sums up what I love to do.
I feel very lucky to have learned many different crafts over the years, and I’m always learning something new. I’m currently exploring the art of Irish lace and am part of a group helping to revive this beautiful tradition. I’ve also recently completed a course in felting, with resin art next on my list.
Where possible, I like to reuse and recycle materials, especially when making my Christmas decorations. I also use natural fibres in some of my bread bags, which help to keep bread fresher for longer.
For me, MTACS is about making, learning, creating and continuing to stitch.
